How a reading works

What I do, what I don't, and how you can check it.

What a reading is

I open your home page in a real Chrome browser, two or three times, and write down every request it makes: Google Analytics, Tag Manager, the Meta pixel, ad tags and others. On each reading I click one WhatsApp, one phone and one mail link on the home page and count what they send. Everything I do is a real request: it can appear in your analytics and ad accounts as visits and contact events from a Chrome browser whose user agent ends in MedidoLupa/0.2. Filter it out by that string. I read the public domain registry, the robots file, the sitemap and the structured data. I don't log in, I don't click cookie banners and I don't submit any form. The browser keeps the cookies your site sets during the visit and discards them at the end.

The seals

Verified: my browser saw it in this run, with a record of the request, the event and the count, on the date and time shown on the reading. Inferred: my conclusion from what I saw, to confirm. Not seen: I didn't see it in this run, which is never the same as "it doesn't exist". The four main findings carry a seal and the code enforces it: without a record of evidence there is no "verified". When a result depends on a single load, it can't be "verified".

What it can't see

Who administers your accounts, what you spent, what the platform finally counts as a conversion, events sent from a server, whether Google indexed a page, which sales call actually closed, and who signed, and what an AI assistant says about you. Those need your accounts or repeated questions, and I say so.

When I couldn't read

If a protection screen, a captcha or an error stops me, I say what happened and what I tried. I don't guess.

What I keep

I don't keep the page. For 30 days I keep a short technical record of your site: which tracking IDs I saw, event counts, the domain's expiry date, whether robots and sitemap exist, and a scrambled version of the title. That is how I can show you what changed. Separately I keep a usage counter for 90 days, with a scrambled domain, no address and no visitor data. Ask me to delete all of it at any time.

My reader

It identifies itself as MedidoLupa. It honors a robots.txt rule that disallows MedidoLupa. If you don't want it on your site, add that rule or write to me and I'll exclude your domain.

If you connect Google

The free reading never needs it. For clients who order the Diagnosis, a normal Google sign-in gives me read-only access to Google Analytics and Tag Manager for 14 days, and a person at Medido reviews the setup and the totals, never data about individual people. That review is not part of the automatic reading: it comes from your accounts, and I say so. How it is used and kept is on the privacy page.

How I can be wrong

A reading is automatic and has no human review. Its error rate is published here as readings are checked against real accounts: how many were right, how many sites I couldn't read, and every mistake with its date and fix.
